No, most pear juice comes in cans that contain high fructose corn syrup or other sweeteners and this is a big problem for diabetics, plus anyone trying to lose weight. Look for 100% pear juice.

How should I take it?

Take 4 ounces at a time. For example, an 8 ounce serving would be like drinking a can of soda, so instead, if you are looking for instant relief, dilute the 4 ounces with approximately 1 liter of water and drink. This has a flushing effect, similar to a salt water flush, and should have effect within an hour or less.

Is it safe to take daily?

Yes, take it in the mornings to stimulate your bowels. This is great for people who don’t drink coffee to trigger their morning BM, but make sure to limit the amount of juice to about 4 ounces, or half of a normal cup. Pear juice does contain a lot of calories, similar to soda, because it is refined, so sticking to 4 ounces, diluted with water, is a safe and healthy way to go.
